Views | Pressure

The PRESSURE tab provides continuous pressure mapping of a person’s seating area in real time. Warmer colours represent areas of higher mmHg interface pressures. This tab also displays average pressure, peak pressure and other relevant data.

The Pressure tab view provides real-time feedback on the success of repositioning the patient. It helps professionals assess whether problem areas have been properly relieved and/or other areas of the patient’s skin are being exposed to higher pressure.

Views | Gradient

The GRADIENT tab shows where potential tissue trauma may occur due to shear forces. Shear injury can occur while the patient is sitting or when positions are being changed.

Warmer colours indicate rapid changes in pressure distribution in mmHg/cm across the surface. These are the areas where the risk of shear injury is greatest. Rapid spatial pressure changes may indicate that the tissue is being loaded vertically or horizontally.
